- Fr. Farrell - Levels Of Prayer Interview - Tape 101 Sides A and B
- Fr. Patrick Farrell OCD is stationed at Holy Hill, Wisconsin and beloved by many OCDS in the Midwest. When you visit Holy Hill, the diagram depicting the tour of the shrine was created by Fr. Farrell. He has been provincial delegate and was a great encourager of OCDS growth. In the eyes of many, under his leadership the OCDS in the Washington D.C. province experienced the greatest expansion in its history of OCDS Vocations, Communities, and Apostolates. The small group Flint Formation Program was his original idea, which was subsequently adopted and perfected by many. He is directly responsible for The OCDS Congress 2000 held in Flint, Michigan, which under his leadership broke many barriers. The 24 hour Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration was instituted, non Carmelites were in attendance and participated as presenters, including Fr Thomas Dubay SM; OCDS lay presentation was at an all time high. Special interest groups were initiated, and through the fostering of OCDS solidarity tape ministries and new communities were birthed. It was attended by participants from 9 different countries, as far flung as the Philippines, Iceland, Germany, Jamaica, and Canada to mention a few; approximately 37 different states had representatives, and the event was so popular attendance had to be restricted to 350 due to space limitations. This flourishing of Growth in Carmel is attributed by many to his leadership style.
- Fr. William Healy OCD - God Joy of My Life
- Fr. William Healy OCD, is from Minnesota and 85 years old as of 2005. He has devoted his entire vocation to the OCDS. He is a retreat master and has been in high demand among the nuns for his talks. He has worked many OCDS conferences with Fr. Dubay. If you like Fr. Dubay you will love Fr Healy for his inspiration and Carmelite spirituality. In his talks, he usually is brief, 15-20 minutes, organized and to the point. Few friars in the Philippines today know that in his early years he did a visitation to the Philippines at the insistence of Rome. His report went a long way in establishing the independence of the Philippines as distinct Carmelite Provinces. Prior to his action the Philippines were mission territories of the Washington D.C province. He also assisted in establishing the OCDS in Ontario Canada. He was instrumental in the founding of many OCDS communities and holds Platinum status among the OCDS in Michigan. He has always encouraged the development of vocations and frequently would prefer not to talk and allow others to try out their wings at public speaking, using his time slots. He is a true Father in every sense of the word and has spent many hours in the confessional at our OCDS conferences.
